Latest Work From Home Offer Just Another Scam
Many Americans like to work from home. The reasons vary, some people might not want to commute and some may simply not like working in an office environment. Others may have young children at home and would rather not have to enroll in kindergarten. Whatever the reason, companies that offer to provide people the opportunity to work from home are usually pretty busy with investigations.
While there are legitimate opportunities to work from home, many of these offers are just scams designed to get "addicted" to part with hard earned money. A recent offer to work from home that is circulating via e-mail is just that. The offer from a company in Europe, offers a salary of several thousand dollars a week. Interested parties are invited to contact the company for more information.
If you contact the company, you'll be told that some checks amounting to several thousands of dollars come to you in email. You will be required to deposit in your bank account, keep 10% for you as a tax, and send the rest of the funds to an address in Nigeria. If you do, you will soon discover that the checks were fake, but the money you sent to Nigeria was real. Your bank will want their money back, and will be left several thousands of dollars poorer.
This is just another variation of "excess" check scam that has been around for a while 'time. In this regime, someone who has something to sell online, such as eBay, you send a bank draft for payment for an amount that exceeds the purchase price. The seller is asked to send the goods with a refund for the difference. Again, the check is a fake, and when he discovers that the bank is too late. The money is gone.
Find work from home should be wary of jobs that promise a lot of money for little or no work. There are some companies that hire people to work from home, but most of these deals are simply theft by well-meaning .......
