Legends Mexico
The sixty elderly
When the mighty emperor Moctezuma wanted to know where their ancestors called his prime minister and said:
I want to know where they live, the ancestors of the ancient town of Anahuac. Where is Quetzalcoatl, where the mother of Huitzilopochtli, where the founders of Tenochtitlan?
'Sir,' said Prime Minister, what you ask is impossible, these holy men and the mother of Huitzilopochtli live in faraway Tula, in the wonderful city, and absolutely nobody can get there, the road is closed and surrounded by hideous beasts , bottomless oceans and terrible dangers. Only through extraordinary powers might know something about our ancestors.
He decided to consult the ancient historian of the Empire and, according to legend it was the past and found himself face to face with an old immortal who asked:
Tell me good old man, where are living Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli's mother and all the holy men of ancient times?
-Powerful emperor, they live in faraway Tula replied the old man. -I get there, 'said the great emperor.
-The road is closed, it is not possible, only entering the body through extraordinary powers within the fourth vertical you could reach that place.
Thus the old historian, he found that Montezuma had said was true Prime Minister returned to his palace.
Days later, he called the sixty people and elders, and said:
I want to know where they live the gods of Anahuac, I know something about Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli's mother over and over all these men holy and heroic founders of the great Tenochtitlan. You, the elderly, have the wisdom that is needed, I commend this work and bring these gifts to the holy land of Tula-distant and delivering presents, he continued. Márchense.
Legend has it that the sixties were prepared with much fasting and abstinence, their bodies permeated with herbs, and then doing their magic circles and using their powers, put your physical body within the fourth vertical.
The twilight zone traveled to distant Tula. On arriving there, they asked the old man by the heroic founders, and this led to the place where he was living Quetzalcoatl and his entourage of heroic and noble Mexican men. As they marched to the homes of the legendary masters, sixty feet sank into the sand and found it difficult to walk.
- What is it? Asked the old man at sixty-o Why can not walk? What do they eat you? What to drink?
The sixty responded:
Sir, we drink pulque and we get drunk a lot, eat game meat and fornicate.
-That is why illustrious men, 'said the old man, who find it difficult to walk in this place, your presents are not necessary for us, because we live a modest life, slept in the harsh wilderness and do not need luxury.
At that time, an old woman came to meet the sixties. His face was blackened with coal, dirty and her dress was all torn. She was the mother of Huitzilopochtli, the god founder of the great Tenochtitlan, was the divine mother sad because his son had fallen fornication.
'I'm sad,' she said and so I will be until my son returns, that is, until it is raised, to regenerate, until the rise of the mud of the earth. You, if you continue and go, 'said the mother of Huitzilopochtli, will soon be conquered by bearded white men who come across the sea and destroy them, referring to the conquerors of Spain.
The sixties were Quetzalcoatl and talked to different teachings. Then the mother of Huitzilopochtli gave them a brace (the symbol of chastity) so that they, in turn, it will give the Moctezuma, and dismissed them as hard making them carry message to the emperor.
They returned from the sixty fourth vertical, although some of them died during the journey, but who managed to return to the great Tenochtitlan, delivered the message to the powerful emperor. Then he and his prime minister, full of pain, spoke to the people to stop drunk with pulque and to enter the path of regeneration. But it was useless, and the powerful solar civilization that had once shone in the great Tenochtitlan and other nearby towns had entered the process of decay.
