Submit Url Dogpile Experiment

I'm doing research for an upcoming tutorial and decided to see how many people each day are looking for "submit web2.0?. So I go to Wordtracker and decide to check the amount of daily search for the search term" Send ".

I was surprised to see that a lot of people are interested in submitting their website to Dogpile. (2000 a day) My first thought was "what a strange, 2000 people a day - maybe someone is selling an ebook on how valuable links are Dogpile.

The funny thing is that if you are already listed on Google, Yahoo! or MSN, you will be automatically listed on Dogpile. Dogpile is a meta-search engine and provides results from Google, Yahoo!, MSN and ASK in one place. Their Alexa ranking is now 2935 (2935 ° are the most popular site on the web).

It did not take long to realize that you can not send your website to Dogpile, which receive their listings from other sources ...

My first thought was, "Wow, I struck gold keyword - how long will it take me to classify some of these search terms and start getting a boat load of highly targeted visitors to my site?" (These are the search terms highly targeted to my site which shares resouces on web publicity. It would not be significant on a site of kite-surfing, for example).

So how long did it take? I received my first visitor from Google 20 hours after I posted about it on my blog. I was # 6 for the keyword phrase "Dogpile submit site". The really surprising is that the blog was only 12 days.

Right now you might think: "How did this?". The short answer is that I 'engaged an advertising campaign on-line'.

What is an "Online Advertising Campaign?"

This is part of the "New Web" environment. A couple of years ago, Search Engine Optimization was everything, today there are dozens of websites that can be "advertised" and you put the visitors. Some of these Web sites can interact with every day, many of them have never heard of. The "New Web" is here, what is your strategy?

Search engine optimization can only be a small part of your online marketing campaign .......
