Eye Makeup - Types and Applications
Eye makeup is applied differently depending on the shape and color of them. Almond eyes tend to have very visible crease. The best way to apply makeup is creating great contrast to the eyelid and eyebrows. We will use the eyeliner on both the upper and lower eyelid, drawing as close to the lashes. Then apply a medium tone shadow on the eyelid and then a darker shade on the exterior. To finish the style, apply mascara on upper and lower lashes.
To make up eyes that are close together will try to highlight the outer edges to create the illusion of width. Start using the eyeliner on the outside of the upper and lower eyelids. Then apply a little light shade shadow over the entire surface of the lid (from lash to brow). With a darker shade, apply gently from a third eyelid outward to just the edge of the eyes. Finish with mascara on the top and bottom.
Sunken eyes are usually caused by a very prominent brow bone, which may make the eyelids look like they are hidden. The key here is to make eyes look bigger or open. Again, as in almost all eye makeup techniques, we use the eyeliner to the upper and lower eyelid. Blend the liner so that the line appears smoother. Apply a light eye shadow from lash to brow, and darken slightly above the crease. Mix in the shade at the edges to soften the appearance. We finish with several coats of mascara.
For eyes that seem to be far apart the idea is to make it appear that are closer together. To do this, apply the eyeliner on the top and bottom again. Then a light-colored shadow over the entire surface of the eyelid. With the darker makeup started on the inside of the eyelid and blend it well up and out. We finish with mascara putting more milk in the inside (closer to the nose) of the eyelashes.
For round eyes can apply makeup so they appear slightly elongated. To achieve this purpose we use the eyeliner to the upper and lower eyelid extending slightly beyond the outside corner. Apply eye shadow clearly on the outside of the brow bone making sure that the brush outward. We finish with mascara, and concentrate more on the upper lashes and especially in the outer corners of eyes.
