A quick and easy to install conversion tracking for AdWords ClickBank products
One of the requirements to do a lot of money with your PPC campaigns is the ability to track down the keywords that convert into sales or not.
Some keywords generate lots of traffic, but does not convert to any sale. You better delete keywords from your campaign, because it only cost money. On the other hand, there are also the keywords that convert like crazy - they are called keywords purchaser. I do not have keywords showing conversion rates up to 15%!
These are the kind of keywords that you want to pay particular attention to. It puts each of them in an ad group dedicated, constantly split test your ads, you can create landing pages dedicated to them ... In short, do everything possible to further improve the conversion rates of these keywords.
Now, the big question is: How do you know which keywords convert into sales and which ones are not?
In the past, you basically had 2 options:
1: Conversion Tracking in your AdWords account setup and asks the merchant of the products to copy / paste the conversion tracking code on the products page "Thank You". I have not always had the best experience with this approach. Many traders do not just respond to your request. Others say that the code you paste on your web site, but they never do ... It can be very annoying.
2: We use ClickBank tracking ID (TID): This may work in some way, but unfortunately the configuration is a headache as well, not very reliable. I often had conversions that were not counted by TID.
However, some time ago, ClickBank implemented what they call "Integrated Sales Reporting" and this is absolutely fantastic. It allows you to set up conversion tracking Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Google Analytics in less than 5 minutes.
Setup is simple and fast, works very well and allows you to determine exactly which keywords lead to conversions.
Here's a quick overview of the steps that must be taken to set up conversion tracking Google in your ClickBank account:
* In your AdWords account, click Reporting -> Conversions -> create a new action
* Provide an action name (for example: Order MyProduct Completed) Select Purchase / Sale conversion page set the security level http://
* Click Save and copy the tracking script in a text file.
* Log in to your ClickBank account. Click the Account Settings tab, so my account. Then click on Edit in the right part of the integrated reporting sales package.
* Click Add and select Google AdWords tracking code from the Type field
* Please enter your Google AdWords Account ID from the script has been copied in a text file and paste it into the "Google Account ID" field.
* From the same script, copy the value of the brand "google_conversion_label" and paste in the "Label of purchase".
* Click "Save".
That's it! Now you are ready to consider what keywords lead to conversions and how often .......
