Motorcycle Alarms
Motorbike alarms are electronic devices that aim to prevent the theft of our motorcycle, and are an additional safety measure to lock or anchoring systems, which should complement and not replace. Motorbike alarms are similar to the car, but are not supported, can not be used interchangeably as motorbikes and cars have different characteristics, not only as the vehicle itself but also the methods used by thieves are different in both cases .
Operation
Basically all motorcycle alarms work the same. A central processor controls the state of the sensors, and if you check the conditions of activation order implementing the actions previously scheduled.
Sensors
The sensors include motorcycle alarms can be of various types:
Shock Sensors: detect any blow received the bike. Proximity sensors: using a scanner monitor the environment perimeter of the bike. Movement and tilt sensors, detectors used mercury to protect the bike from thieves with a crane. Power Sensors: detect when the battery is disconnected.
Actions
The actions that can run motorcycle alarms are varied.
Intermittent siren activation: activate a siren and flashing distress. Activation of Speaker: voices of warning issued to the person who wanders around the bike away. Lock the starter motor to immobilize the bike. Call command. Message to the mobile. Location via GPS. Activation in silent mode. Anti-assault mode, the thief will take the bike, but a few feet below the engine stops. Anti-panic mode, which allows trigger the alarm with the remote. Auto-login if you forget. Reconnecting after a false alarm. Alarm Types
Here the main types of motorcycle alarms.
Basic alarm: there siren and lock the motor turns on and off from the remote. 2-Way FM Alarm: bidirectional communication, the alarm receives commands from the command and the command receives data from the alarm to let you know the status of the bike. 2-way GSM Alarm: bidirectional communication, the owner receives SMS on mobile and can control the alarm over the phone. GPS Locator Alarm: The alarm connects the GPS coordinates of the bike by sending SMS to mobile. Effectiveness
Sometimes you doubt the effectiveness of motorcycle alarms, arguing that the gangs engaged in theft of motorcycles do not pose an obstacle that the bike has alarm and false alarms are so common in cities that nobody pays any attention of them.
Although not a foolproof system, installation of an alarm is a good investment, the more difficult because thieves are more likely to fail in his attempt to steal, to seek an easier target or recover a motorcycle subtracted.
