If you're like me, my greatest achievement in life was to be able to support my family with a lifestyle that suited our needs, but also be able to do from the comfort of my home. As a single mother who was already a challenge to the work of a corporate job, full time and still be available for my children when they needed me. My desire to have that balance between work and life is what allowed me to start my own business from home.

While it takes a little dedication and tenacity, you can do and that is not as difficult as you think! There are several things to consider before quitting your day job, ask yourself the following questions:
Where do you work? For example, it will be going to the homes of clients, or are coming to you. If they come to you, then you should consider a dedicated office with separate entrance from the house. Is there ample parking for your customers?
Are you allowed to work from home, consult local authorities about having a home business?
What type of insurance you need? Will you have employees or customers who visit your home? If you need to make sure you have adequate coverage. Check with your insurance agent today and find out what the additional cost will be.
Talk to a small business accountant to determine whether to collect sales tax, whether you need a license to provide the service or products sold in your state.
